Maaik is an architect come cartoonist living in Antwerp, Belgium. Originally featured in the monthly design journal DesignIntelligence, the publishers found reception of his targeted comic series and the characters therein a welcome reprieve from the vagaries of daily architecure life, so Architecture, Seriously was born.

From both sides of the Atlantic, Dan and Maaik coordinated efforts for this publication, with Dan leading the project from layout to delivery of this perfect bound collection of comics.
