New Music Resources and Relevance
KDVS, Davis, 90.3FM is a community-run radio station broadcasting at 13,000 Watts to the Sacramento Valley and surrounding area. The station also maintains a global web presence, streaming at www.kdvs.org. The station has operated in the same physical location, in a basement beneath a concert hall, since 1967.
The station occupies a massive physical space, housing one of the largest music libraries in North America.
To retain relevance as a contemporary music resource and account for the space constraints of a pending move, forced by University planning, the development of a new resource for receiving and reviewing new music is necessary.

DELIVERABLES
The project consists of a proof-of-concept interface for three identified users and identifies user screens, user processes and a process flow. User journeys and feedback from constituents is confirmed through user interviews and usability testing. In-depth research into similar platforms currently in use and potential roadblocks to completion inform the user interface and facilitate research and interview discussions.
